Fire 🔥, Mid, or Trash 🗑️?: An AEW Dynamite 4/19/23 Match Review
The Outcasts vs Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter
It may be @RealBrittBaker's hometown, but The Outcasts look to prove it's their house on #AEWDynamite pic.twitter.com/oQYhjzDfgO

Headline: “The hometown girl makes good”.
Result: Britt Baker wins via submission
Verdict: FIRE 🔥

Editors Take: I like every woman that competed in this match. They all are underutilized in my opinion. This was an entertaining match where the right team won, and the right person got the pin.
Powerhouse Hobbs vs Wardlow – TNT Championship
….Wait a damn minute#AEWDynamite pic.twitter.com/kdtIMkLChe
— AEW on TV (@AEWonTV) April 20, 2023
Headline: “Wardlow becomes a 3x TNT Champion”.
Result: Wardlow wins via pinfall to become the 3x TNT Champion
Verdict: FIRE 🔥
Editors Take: Matches with two bigger guys who can actually move is rare. Both Hobbs and Wardlow are unicorns. There was a lot of chaos and nonsense towards the end of the match. Need less QT Marshall.
Jay White vs Komander
Headline: “Jay White puts away a good opponent in a predictable outcome”.
Result: Jay White wins via pin fall
Verdict: FIRE 🔥
Editors Take: This match was probably closer to MID than FIRE but I’m a huge Jay White fan. This match was good either way, but I think we all knew who was winning this one.
The JAS vs The Acclaimed
The Draymond Green line tho…#AEWDynamite pic.twitter.com/mPIfVPeTUd
— AEW on TV (@AEWonTV) April 20, 2023
Headline: “The Acclaimed gets a measure of revenge on The JAS”.
Result: The Acclaimed wins via pin fall
Verdict: MID
Editors Take: Anytime the Acclaimed gets TV time it’s a good thing. I’m just tired of The JAS all together.
Sammy Guevara vs Jungle Boy Jack Perry
Headline: “MJF screws Jungle Boy in a match Sammy Guevara could’ve won himself”.
Result: Sammy Guevara wins via count out.
Verdict: FIRE but a bullshit ending.
Editors Take: This match was trash proof the minute it was announced. Both guys are good in the ring, and Sammy, in general, just doesn’t have bad matches. Guevara and Perry are definitely key players in the future of AEW and they prove as much whenever they step in the ring.
