Fallon Henley and Kiana James vs Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn – NXT Women’s Tag Titles
Quick Hit: Fallon Henley and Kiana James bickered throughout the match as usual. Brooks Jensen, who initially didn’t want to be ringside, tried to interfere in the match and convince Fallon Henley to hit Isla Dawn with Kiana James’ purse. Fallon Henley wanted no part of cheating. The ref caught Jensen and sent him away. Josh Briggs tried to ask Jensen what the hell he was doing and got pushed down by Jensen. A distracted Fallon Henley turned around and got kicked in the face then hit with a Backstabber/Senton combo by Isla Dawn and Alva Fyre for the win.
Result: Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn retain the NXT Women’s Tag Titles via pinfall

Editor’s Note: This whole Brooks Jensen, Josh Briggs, Fallon Henley, Kiana James thing needs to end. It’s been going on way too long and makes little to no sense. This is a weird way to execute a tag team break up angle.
Quick Hit: Eddy Thorpe hit his finisher on Javier Bernal for the victory in a quick match under the watchful eye of Damon Kemp.
Result: Eddy Thorpe wins vía pinfall

Editor’s Note: As someone who tuned out of NXT after the gold brand ended, I have no clue who these guys are. Eddy Thrope can move though. Lets see where he ends up.
Quick Hit: The two rising stars in the women’s division clashed but in the end, Tiffany Stratton took Sol Ruca out with the Moonsault.
Result: Tiffany Stratton wins via pinfall

Editor’s Note: I loved this match. I came away feeling like both of these women could be successful on the main roster. I think Tiffany Stratton has a character that could translate well to the main roster. Sol Ruca has a bright future as well but I haven’t heard her on the mic. I’m impressed with her in-ring work. Quick Hit: The big man Von Wagner got a lot of offense in early on Dragunov but the skills of Dragunov were way too much for Wagner, thus Wagner lost and was dropped by Robert Stone as a client. Dijak came out after the match to challenge Dragunov.
Result: Dragunov wins via pinfall

Editor’s Note: I don’t know what the plan is for Dragunov but I think the best place for him on the main roster is as a member of Imperium.

Grayson Waller vs Dragon Lee vs Duke Hudson vs JD McDonagh – #1 Contender match for the NXT Championship
Quick Hit: Dragon Lee dominated this match. Lee hit Duke Hudson with a powerbomb but Grayson Waller capitalized by hitting Lee with the Rolling Ace Crusher, knocking him out of the right and pinning Hudson for himself to become the number one contender.
Result: Grayson Waller wins via pinfall
Verdict: FIRE
Editor’s Note: Was there any doubt that this match would be good? Hopefully, Waller is called up during the draft. I feel like he’s ready to be a key player in the mid card on the main roster.
