Editor’s Note: What can I say? This shit was 🔥! You could tell that Allin and Strickland have amazing chemistry from having a ton of matches together. Amazing match!

Powerhouse Hobbs vs Silas Young

Editor’s Note: Poor Silas Young. He was dope back in the day in ROH. Hobbs is one of my favorites in AEW right now.

Orange Cassidy vs Buddy Matthews- All-Atlantic Championship

 

Quick Hit: Orange Cassidy overcame the injury to his hand to beat Matthews with the mousetrap.

Verdict: FIRE 🔥 
Editor’s Note: This match was off the charts. The storytelling here was awesome! Cassidy selling the hand injury from Battle of the Belts made this match great. The spots in this match looked meaningful and the wrestling, obviously was amazing. This is the best match I’ve seen this week.

 

 

 

The Blackpool Combat Club vs Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa

Quick Hit: As you could probably guess; this was ugly. The BPCC beat up on the Elite stooges for an easy victory. Then the BPCC took an L when The Elite showed up.

Result:  BPCC wins vía pinfall
Verdict: FIRE 🔥

Editor’s Note: The match itself was nothing. The post match attack by the Elite is what made this match meaningful. The verdict for this match would have been trash had it not been for the post match activities.

 

 

Riho and Sky Blue vs The Outcasts

Quick Hit: The Outcasts get the victory after Toni Storm hits Sky Blue with the Hip Attack and Storm Zero. Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker saves Riho and Sky Blue from the post-match beat down (not really).

Result:  The Outcasts wins vía pinfall
Verdict: Mid
Editor’s Note: This match was what it was. I like The Ex-WWE Outcasts faction. Should be involved in the women’s title scene.

 

 

 

 

Chris Jericho vs Keith Lee

 

Quick Hit: Swerve Strickland hits Keith Lee with (a lunchbox?) while the ref was distracted leading to a Jericho victory.

Result:  Chris Jericho wins vía pinfall
Verdict: Mid
Editor’s Note: I’ve been watching Jericho matches for 24 years. It’s hard for me to grade his matches because I’ve seen so many great ones. This was an OK match but that’s it.

 

Overall Verdict for AEW Dynamite: FIRE 🔥  (but just barely)
