HOOK vs Ethan Page – FTW Championship (FTW Rules match)
Quick Hit: HOOK and Page fought through the crowd and battered each other with weapons until HOOK brought it to a close with the Redrum. After the match, HOOK added the finishing touches by putting page through a table.
Result: HOOK wins via submission
Verdict: FIRE 🔥
Editor’s Note: Call it what it is. AEW does these things better than WWE. A no DQ match with no Kendo stick in sight was refreshing.

 

JAC and The Acclaimed  vs LSG, Bobby Orlando, and The Infantry 🤷🏾‍♂️ 
Quick Hit: After the JAC and Acclaimed beat the enhancement talent, the JAC turned on the Acclaimed and beat them down post match.
Result: The JAC and Acclaimed wins vía pinfall
Verdict: Trash 🗑️
Editor’s Note: Everyone loves the Acclaimed, including me. I loved them before they got hot. But none of whatever this is, storyline (?) with the JAC, makes sense. Can’t wait until the JAC break up. AEW has waaaay too many redundant silly stables.

Lee Moriarty w/ Big Bill vs Darby Allin
Quick Hit: Darby Allin came into the match after being hit by a car this week. Darby survives Big Bill trying to help Lee Moriarty win. Darby hits Moriarty with a Code Red and the Coffin Drop to turn his lights out. After the match, Swerve Scott meets Darby at the top of the ramp and offers a handshake but before Darby could shake his hand, Brian Cage attacks Darby from behind and hits him with a F-5 (Because that’s what it is). The Embassy and Mogul Affiliates have merged (UNNECESSARY CHEAP SHOT AT WWE ALERT 🚨) *Swerve said he will maintain 51% of the company after the merger*
Result: Darby Allin wins via pinfall
Verdict: FIRE 🔥
Editor’s Note: Both of these guys can GO! That’s obvious. Would like to see more from Moriarty because he’s way too talented to be stuck in a silly stable (The Firm) where he never says anything.

 

 

 

Anna Jay vs Julia Hart
Quick Hit: Julia Hart spits the black mist at Anna Jay and rolls her up for a win in the Rampage main event.
Result: Julia Hart wins via pinfall
Verdict: Mid
Editor’s Note: It’s nice to see AEW putting work into their women’s division.

Orange Cassidy vs Dralistico – AEW All-Atlantic Championship 
Quick Hit: Cassidy puts down Dralistico with an Orange Punch in a fast paced match. Following the match  Buddy Matthews challenged Cassidy for the All-Atlantic Championship.
Result: Orange Cassidy wins vía pinfall
Verdict: Fire 🔥
Editor’s Note: I went into this match expecting it to be really good and it didn’t disappoint. Even moreso once they told us that Dralistico is the brother of Rush (And Dragon Lee?).

 

 

 

 

Jade Cargill vs Billie Starkz – AEW TBS Championship
Quick Hit: The expected occurred once Jade hit Billie Starkz with the Jaded
Result: Jade Cargill wins vía pinfall
Verdict: Trash 🗑️
Editor’s Note: Please for the love of god give this talented woman a long-term fued and a legit challenger. Hopefully she has that in Taya Valkyrie.

 

 

 

QT Marshall and Powerhouse Hobbs vs The Lucha Bros – ROH Tag Team Titles
Quick Hit: Of course QT Marshall ate the fucking pin because like why the fuck is he even there? Powerhouse Hobbs, Pentagon, Rey Fénix…….One of these things is not like the other!
Result: The Lucha Bros wins vía pinfall
Verdict: Mid
Editor’s Note: It really dilutes what Hobbs can be by constantly associating his with the goofy ass stable and comedy acts. They don’t do that shit with Wardlow. Hobbs should be getting booked the same way. He doesn’t need to be teaming with comedy acts. The guy is a one man wrecking crew.

 

 

Overall Verdict for Battle of the Belts IV: Trash 🗑️  *Its trash not because of the in-ring performance but because they barely advertised the show and if they didn’t give a shit why should we?*
