Fire 🔥, MID 😐, or Trash 🗑️ : A Smackdown match review for 4/21/23

The Judgement Day vs The L.W.O.

Headline: “The Judgement Day gets the best of The L.W.O.. Looking ahead to Bad Bunny”
Result: The Judgement Day win via pinfall
Verdict: MID

Editor’s Note: These matches are getting repetitive but the performers are good.

Ricochet and Braun Strowman vs The Viking Raiders

Headline: “With the draft on the horizon, Braun And Ricochet earn a tag team victory”.
Result: Braun Strowman and Ricochet win via pin fall
Verdict: MID

Editor’s Note: For the love of God……The draft couldn’t come quick enough. I’m just tired of Ricochet and Braun being a team and tired of seeing these teams fight.

Raquel Rodriquez and Liv Morgan vs Chelsea Green and Sonya DeVille – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships

Headline: “Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan pull a fast one to go into Backlash as champions”.
Result: Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan retain vía pinfall
Verdict: MID

Editor’s Note: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

GUNTHER vs Xavier Woods – Intercontinental Championship

Headline: “The valiant effort of Xavier Woods is crushed by the excellence on the Ring General”.
Result: GUNTHER retains vía submission
Verdict: FIRE 🔥

Editor’s Note: GUNTHER can’t miss right now. The Ring General sets fire to the ring every time he takes center stage.

Matt Riddle vs Solo Sikoa – No DQ

Headline: “Matt Riddle unable to exact his revenge on Solo Sikoa@
Result: Solo Sikoa wins vía pinfall
Verdict: FIRE 🔥

Editor’s Note: As with most Solo matches, this was hard hitting and physical and involved the Usos. The No DQ stipulation helped this come off very well but weekly the Usos make Solo look weak.

Overall Verdict for Smackdown: MID. Most of this episode was just rehashed tag matches with a couple of BANGERS!
